The first ‘official’ night of SxSW ’08 went off pretty much without a hitch. Though still recovering from my bout of sickness, I was able to make it out with the boys to the first set of gigs. We ended up catching my old friend from Las Cruces’ band, The Eric Hisaw band, a pretty good brit-pop band called the Pinstripes, an incredible set from the Von Bondies, the infamous Yuppie Pricks (with an almost arrest of the lead singer Trevor after breaking a car window with a well placed golf club), and the always fun Pink Swords. Unfortunately, the night was crapped with the non-access to the Naked Raygun Show. Ugh.
