Wiesbaden  is the capital of the German state Hessen. While the city does have artifacts dating it to the Neolithic Period, the commonly known origins of the city lie with the initial Roman occupation in the 1st century A.D. Apparently those fun loving conquerers loved the natural hot springs that are abundant throughout the area enough to build a fort.  Now, it’s known as the place where my mother and her husband live. It’s also the gateway to the Rheingau, known throughout the world as of the best wine making  areas in the world. Beautiful architecture, friendly people, and great food are all trademarks of this incredible city.
